SEARCHING FOR A CLINICAL TRIAL

To find out about Kimmel Cancer Center clinical trials, from the drop down menus below, first, please:

A) select an Adult or Pediatric cancer type,

OR

B) type in the Johns Hopkins clinical trial research study protocol number
 

Then:

--click the GO button

A list of clinical trials will appear.  Click the reference number above the trial name for specific details about each trial, which may include: 
--Phase: I, II, or II, or pilot or “No Phase Specified”? ***
--Physician/Principal Investigator (PI): who is directing this research?
--Purpose: what does the PI hope to find out?
--Eligibility requirements: do I qualify?
--Treatment: what is being tested and how will it be given? 

*** “No phase specified” means that the trial is testing a complementary protocol to alleviate side effects or testing new technology rather than testing a new treatment for the cancer itself.

Making an Appointment at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center

Important Points to Remember:

To determine whether you are eligible for one of our clinical trials, you will need to make an appointment for an evaluation with one of our cancer experts . Call our New Patient Referral Office at 410-955-8964, and choose option #2 when prompted to schedule an appointment. 

Our team of experts must examine each patient at our medical facilities in Baltimore with all available medical records for review to determine the best course of treatment. In some cases, we may need to order additional tests performed here at Johns Hopkins before deciding the course of treatment or whether you are eligible for a particular clinical trial.

If you decide to receive your treatment at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, you may need to stay in the Baltimore for several weeks or longer.  Our housing coordinator at 410-614-6527 can help you with lodging.
